Chalets de montaña en Mauricio

"Le cadre... on ne s'attend pas du tout à être dans un havre de paix... vue l'adresse ou se situe l'hébergement. Une belle surprise !!!"

Le petit chemin qui mène jusqu'à l'hébergement est un peu difficile à emprunter. Surtout avec les bagages.

You have to bring cash to pay for the room. The toilet and shower (both very clean) are in a separate house. So you have to make short walk (15 meters) I had problems to find the location in google maps. The location I found was not the location of accommodation. Finally somebody helped us to find the proper location.

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

"I absolutely loved the place! I came together with my friend with intention to relax and chill. The place was super cozy, relaxing and in a lovely calm area. When we came in november, there were still some wedding decoration left on the staircase (from the owners sons wedding the month before), and as a future bride myself I felt enchanted! La ville d'Imouzzer Kanddar est très agréable avec un grand parc et un très bon marché. Le logement est confortable avec grande cuisine, grand salon, deux salles de bain et de belles chambres. Un garage est également disponible pour garer la voiture très pratique. Vous avez le wifi et une machine à laver(séchage compris) qui est pour ma part un vrai plus en voyage. Khalid le gardien est également à votre écoute si vous avez besoin. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet endroit calme et reposant face à la forêt. Je recommande"

"Beautiful hotel and surroundings. The town, Michamvi Kae itself is a bit sleepy but fun place!"

The staff was not to helpful when getting us a bajaji or boda. The restaurant food was amazing, even though paying additional 2$ for eggs for breakfast is way to overpriced compared with what you get at other hotels.

"Really comfy, tidy, well equipped place. The hosts were very friendly, they even contacted us with a neighbor of them who gave us a (paid) tour to different destinations. The supermarket around the corner was very handy, it helped us reducing costs during the trip. On the other hand, we used public transportation, but I would suggest to rent a car if you are a group of 3 or 4. We had a really good stay, so we highly recommend Casa Chiquito :)"

Nothing, everything was fine. Just for the sake of continuous improvement, it’d be good if the draining of the shower could be improved but I can imagine it is significant work (it is certainly not critical at all, though).

For a family of four it was a bit tight spaced, but not unmanageable. Just for awareness - it is one bedroom and the sleeper couch serves as second bed.

"Loved the cabin! So calm and relaxing. The cabin itself was so rustic, everything you need is there. The beds were so nice and comfortable, they had working netflix so on the cold rainy nights you can simply cuddle and watch some TV. The breakfast was amazing! Lovely lady gave it to us to our cabin in the morning and it was wrapped so nicely in a proper picnic basket! And the range was amazing, even better than hotel buffets. The staff were friendly! The area is very quiet with a short drive to many hiking spots but that's what we were looking for. Loved every second. Thanks again!"

"Wonderful little getaway, greeted by the most charming host and beautiful, peaceful, tranquil surroundings. Saw the sunrise with coffee and breakfast on the private terrace/decking area. A must if you are in the area."
