The way to get there is very adventurous. I arrived in the dark and I wasn't really sure I am at the right place because of the road. Quite scary.

We had excellent communication with the host who organised an upgrade as we were two women travelling together and asked for the possibility of twin beds. "I really enjoyed staying at Camping La Y Griega, in Bocas del Toro. For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it."

"Fantastic experience! The camp is located in the desert (15 min drive through the dunes) and can only be reached with a 4x4 or pick-up by the camp staff which needs to be arranged beforehand. It really feels like staying in the middle of the desert with no other camp to be seen. The tents are quite big and nicely decorated, each with a private outdoor bathroom connected to the tent. In the evening at 8pm there is a buffet dinner with a bonfire afterwards. Highly recommend!"

"We really enjoyed staying at Ursak Camp. The cabins and tents are beautifully designed and create a wonderful atmosphere close to nature. Another big advantage is that you can buy ready-made meals on site, which is very convenient since the nearest grocery stores are quite far away. Everything was very clean, the sauna was excellent, and the food was great as well. The accommodation itself was very comfortable. We truly enjoyed being surrounded by nature — the whole experience was wonderful."

This is not an issue with Ursak Camp itself, but rather a helpful tip for future visitors. Google Maps and Waze often suggest a route through Sinjajevina Mountain. At first the road looks paved and normal, but eventually it ends. In winter there may be snow, and it is easy to get stuck there. There is also almost no mobile signal in that area. It is much safer to approach Ursak Camp through the town of Kolašin and enter from the lower road. The mountain road may be fine in summer, but in winter it is better not to take that route.

First of all please do not rely on the reviews here. The most one I think are fake reviews. This is now the real situation at this so called Nature "hotel". Flies flies flies. Everywhere thousand of flies. Flies in the rooms, flies in the restaurant everywhere you will have the flies. This is an indicator about the bad hygiene in this hotel. I have booked to so called King Room with Mountain view. It sounds very friendly but the reality is totally a horror. The room is very dirty and most issue it is wet and everywhere you see mold. When you enter the room you smell the moldy air. Absolutely unhealthy enviroment. Even the bedding is moldy and wet. The floor is wet. The walls are wet. We have to use hair dryer to have a little bit dry feeling when we sleep. But we could not sleep very well. Very terrible situation. Beside the moldy enviroment the room cleanless is terrible. Everywhere died flies and their feces. Stains on bedding and hairs. The bathroom was so dirty that we have avoided to take a shower. The toilet was not cleaned. The breakfast was consist of only rice and noodle and some unfresh cakes. On the food there are a lot of flies. They have a menu but most ones are not available. So we ate some noodle but was very low quality. Now my frustration. I have paid 1.4mRP for one night. In Indonesia you can stay in a very good 4 star Hotel for this price. I have requested a refund but the owner/staff was very unfriendly and not collaborative. For 200kRP you can stay in Bromo/Tosari in every homestay which is more better than this kind. So dont rely on the pics and reviews. The guys are cheating in a high level. Please be really careful to book this hotel. I have already claimed to booking.com. The house inside the layout is stunning but very crowded same as kitchen. There has no space for our luggages and things. We love all the things and musical instruments but maybe the house is too small for everything inside.

"We had a lovely stay! The pool was absolutely wonderful and the staff were really friendly. The food from the restaurant was some of the best we had in Guatemala! The gardens were gorgeous and had some stunning birds in the trees! The room was really beautiful and the shower was powerful."

A mosquito net over the bed would’ve been good.

It would be helpful if there was a bath mat provided to keep the floor dry. And I am glad that washing up liquid is now provided, as in previous years we have had to buy our own.
