"Es war genau die kleine Auszeit, die ich gebraucht habe. Der Wagen war gemütlich, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet – man hat sofort gemerkt, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Besonders schön war die ruhige Atmosphäre auf dem Platz. Ich habe die Stille und das Meeresrauschen sehr genossen, konnte endlich einmal richtig ausschlafen und bei langen Spaziergängen über die Insel abschalten. Abends auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, zu grillen und den Sonnenuntergang zu beobachten, war jedes Mal ein Highlight. Vielen Dank auch für deine freundliche Art und die unkomplizierte Kommunikation – das hat den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht. Ich komme sehr gern wieder und empfehle den „Lieblingsplatz“ mit bestem Gewissen weiter."

Das einzige kleine Manko war die etwas dünne Matratze im Bauwagrn.

"The decoration outside."

First of all please do not rely on the reviews here. The most one I think are fake reviews. This is now the real situation at this so called Nature "hotel". Flies flies flies. Everywhere thousand of flies. Flies in the rooms, flies in the restaurant everywhere you will have the flies. This is an indicator about the bad hygiene in this hotel. I have booked to so called King Room with Mountain view. It sounds very friendly but the reality is totally a horror. The room is very dirty and most issue it is wet and everywhere you see mold. When you enter the room you smell the moldy air. Absolutely unhealthy enviroment. Even the bedding is moldy and wet. The floor is wet. The walls are wet. We have to use hair dryer to have a little bit dry feeling when we sleep. But we could not sleep very well. Very terrible situation. Beside the moldy enviroment the room cleanless is terrible. Everywhere died flies and their feces. Stains on bedding and hairs. The bathroom was so dirty that we have avoided to take a shower. The toilet was not cleaned. The breakfast was consist of only rice and noodle and some unfresh cakes. On the food there are a lot of flies. They have a menu but most ones are not available. So we ate some noodle but was very low quality. Now my frustration. I have paid 1.4mRP for one night. In Indonesia you can stay in a very good 4 star Hotel for this price. I have requested a refund but the owner/staff was very unfriendly and not collaborative. For 200kRP you can stay in Bromo/Tosari in every homestay which is more better than this kind. So dont rely on the pics and reviews. The guys are cheating in a high level. Please be really careful to book this hotel. I have already claimed to booking.com. "I really enjoyed staying at Camping La Y Griega, in Bocas del Toro. For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it."

"For family vacation is the best place. The beach is near, there is restaurant is on the territory. Very comfortable and clean mobile homes, all the necessary equipment is available for cooking. Service is excellent."

"We enjoyed staying in the camp, which is surrounded by beautiful nature and directly connected to a private beach. It was great to see the camp in its first steps and we are really looking forward to come back. During our time we enjoyed delicious meals with the community and had beautiful conversations together, we also welcomed the opportunity to have a camp fire next to the beach. Beside the accommodation we booked a cacao workshop and cacao farm visit, which connected us with the land and surroundings even more."

"Super accueil de la part d Yves qui nous a explique l origine de ce beau jardín proche de la Forêt et nous a offert une noix de coco a boire. Le campement est calme , la tente est tres confortable et les parties communes toilettes et douche sont tres propres. Nous avons pu cuisiner dans un bel espace en écoutant le chant de la nature....nous recommandons cette belle experience humaine et nature."

"The road to Carbunari is not the best one, but can be approached with any type of car. The accommodation is setup in a very nice setting, the wooden cabins are close to the forest and the whole place is at the end of the road. No neighbours, no noise, only nature! The owners are awesome people, and they are doing their best to make their guests feel like home. We rarely say this, but we’d be very happy to see them again!"

The road from Oravita is pretty bad, but the one from Bozovici is decent, even tho unpaved.

"What a joyful, lovely place!! I am not going to lie: it's in the middle of nowhere, and getting there is a whole adventure (especially if you get the wrong road) but once you reach, it's a fabulous place to be. The owners are so incredibly kind and helpful! They made everything possible and impossible to help us with our stay. We spent 3 nights and it seems we were the first ones to occupy the tent (I must say, the bed was HEAVENLY) so as you can imagine, it was spotless and shiny new. The tent is quite spacious and very comfy. There are two kitchens nearby (beautifully equippped with everything needed and classified rubbish bins) with electricity and plugs (in fact, this is the place to charge your phone). The toilets are also close by (and very clean) and the showers are a joy (loved to be barefoot on the pebbles). They even have gel and shampoo (and it smells great!). Everything is done with love and joy, and it shows. We loved it!"

No complaints, but bear in mind there is no electricity in the tent itself, so in case you want to charge or need electricity you have some charging points or the kitchen. Also wifi is not strong outside the reception area.

"I just loved the concept of tipi in the forest. Very clean camping area, big forest surrounding the campground, lots of birds and of course the lovely semois by my feet. It’s also a family camping so as a solo traveler you feel pretty safe."

The “insolite” part, you aren’t quite insolite, other tipis were in use by families with children running around and shouting. This was a bit tiring since I hoped to be in a calmer area. But you manage, I was out hiking the whole day and at night I set up my bbq while the kids slept. Only early mornings were hard - at the same time the birds were as loud as the kids 😂

Everything was clean and well organized. It’s a wonderful place with a true sense of nature and freedom, and the host was very kind and welcoming."

Things were a little disorganised. Wifi only worked near the main restaurant hut.

The train every half an hour on 2 meters from our windows. The fence is not so high (safety?!). Also the busy road between the camping and the beach is dangerous. Lots of kids crossing that road. A tunnel would be solution.
