"El lugar está muy bien cuidado, tiene estacionamiento propio, y está a 5-10 minutos caminando del centro de Tamarindo. Hay restaurantes, bares y supermercados muy cerca del hotel, la alberca es pequeña pero perfecta para la cantidad de huéspedes, el internet funciona perfecto y te ayudan con recomendaciones y tips para tu estancia en tamarindo."

"Modern, clean and well equipped room and bathroom. Good location, with free parking but only dirt road access. Immediate response from the hosts during reception hours 8-18h. Potable water in the common area. Nice courtyard ambient around the pool"

"We spent 7 nights in Hotel Elixir. Unlike most travelers to Tamarindo, we had quite a long stay. Hotel Elixir was beyond perfect. The staff is friendly and is willing to help you get the best out of your trip. We didn't have a car, so we had to do everything by Uber or foot. The access to Playa Tamarindo, Playa Langosta and Playa Grande is excellent. You can get there by foot. You can easily get too to pharmacies, supermarkets and all of the bars and restaurants in the center of Tamarindo. To the Playas more far away you can get an Uber, they can easily access the hotel. You have different breakfast options, they are fresh and cooked by the staff every morning. Wi-Fi works without interruptions. All the spaces are very clean and comfortable. We would definitely come back whenever we return to Tamarindo :) Thanks for all!"

"We loved this little hotel, tucked away on a quiet street, but just a 5 minute walk to the town centre. Very comfortable room, and a great shower! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the avocado toast! We would definitely stay here again."

"As others have said, this is an oasis of calm and quiet despite being 2 mins walk to the hustle and bustle. We loved the design, giving privacy and peace to all guests. The breakfasts were amazing. Really comfortable bed, room spotless. Eliza, the owner, is a great host; she is friendly, knowledgeable and a real people person who wants her visitors to enjoy their stay."

"Contrary to a lot of reviews, I thought the breakfast was very good. There are only 4 options but they cover pretty much every breakfast type. Excellent location, close to town. The owner is always on hand to provide advice and resolve any problems and was a great host. The pool is quite small but it is sufficient enough with the beach being the main daytime draw."

"The AC unit is very effective but only has a high speed so I found it difficult to sleep with it on. The ceiling fan rattles so could only have that on minimum at night. The best rooms are on the top level. As it is a small hotel the lower rooms have less privacy. There is construction close by and pretty much everywhere in Tamarindo which can make hanging at the pool a dusty affair but the afternoons were better in that regard."

"When we asked to change rooms, they did so with no quibble and without charging us for the upgraded room The new room was large with a separate lounge area. The location was good, next to everything but still quiet. The small pool was lovely for a dip. The free drinking water a nice touch. They helped us with booking transportation. Fred gave us a lovely welcome and good information about the area."

"The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, hard and high. All four of the pillows were the same. I asked for at least one soft one but they didn't have any. The room was new looking and modern. However, some of the furniture not practical or comfortable to use. Such as bean bag seats in the lounge and no bedside tables, just a small shelf attached to the wall. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. It was unfortunate that our first room was facing a house in the process of being built and all that entails. Although this is out of the owner's control, it would have been nice to have been warned about this. The outside area around the pool was not very clean or well kept, so not too appealing. The sunbeds had bird poo all over them and one of the beds the wheel was broken."
