The kettle was not in the room, and the mattress was a bit too hard for one of us.

"We had a wonderful stay here. Christina and her husband are excellent hosts, very caring and go above and beyond. Beautiful garden with pool. We used it as a base to explore Peniche, Ericiera, Lisbon etc. It was like home from home, except for Christina's lovely home bakes! Thanks"

"Stayed here whilst on a cycle tour in the region, on advice of a friend who lives in Bangkok and had stayed here previously. I was not disappointed. Absolutely charming traditional property on the river and run by a couple that clearly take pride in providing hospitality. I loved it here. Having stayed in everything from backpacker places to 5* hotels, this stay will be remembered fondly for a long time. An excellent evening meal was also provided at a fair price (I gave advance warning I'd need to eat when I booked). Highly recommended."

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."

"If you are more a visitor then a tourist, if you like exploring and going further when comfortable tourism ends, this place is for you. The authenticity, genuine friendliness and welcoming hearts of the people of the community made this stay incredibly unique and one of the best experiences of my life. When staying here one can get closer to locals, animals, cultural sights, traditions, local way of life, nature and the PNG culture in general then in any other accommodation. The PNGFE made my stay very comfortable and made me experience local life and the raw nature of PNG!!"

"The view was absolutely stunning, and the service was truly excellent — the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, which made everything so convenient. We also loved the swing and theres free horse riding experience provided. it was such a unique and enjoyable touch."

The only minor downsides were that the jacuzzi water wasn’t hot during our stay, and there were quite a number of bugs at night, so it was a bit difficult to sit outside for long. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed our time there.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. loved listening to her speak of her children. the love in her eye's that that shows for her children and moko's that live in Aotearoa when speaking of them. As well as her belated husband. Thank you so much for everything and opening up your home and making us feel like family I will always remember the aroha that you have shown us whilst our visit to Rarotonga. I wish you nothing but the best. I hope anyone that books your house respects and appreciates you and your beautiful whare/ house that you work hard to maintain. Ich persönlich bin kein Freund von Gemeinschaftsbad und -küche (war aber unmissverständlich so deklariert ;-) ).

Painavien matkatavaroiden rahtaus kapeissa portaissa yläkertaan vaivalloista. Suihkussa ei laskutilaa pesuvälineille. Amme ei hyvä suihkualusta. Sisäänkäynnin sähköinen lukko piti meteliä, kun sitä käytti. Pysäköinti pihaan jyrkkää mäkeä pitkin.
