Dumbea sur Mer is basically a boring suburb of McMansion houses and a shopping mall.

Room is small for 4 persons despite the 2 queen beds, might be more suitable for 2 persons. Walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours move out and the vehicles that pass by the side road.

"My stay at this guest house was absolutely fantastic! The host was excellent, very kind, and provided a lot of detailed advice before my trip, which was incredibly helpful. Staying in a whole house was great! The location allowed me to spend very quiet and comfortable nights. It was conveniently situated close to the coastal road and within easy walking distance. "We had a truly great stay at Vila Davor, Turistička 8- Peštani. The location is phenomenal, at least in our case with small children, because the apartment is less than 10 meters from the private beach with sunbeds. In same house there is a beach bar and kayak and sup board rental. There is a supermarket and several restaurants of national cuisine nearby. As for sightseeing, the entire area around the lake and the Galicica National Park are a 15-20 minute drive away. The host is pleasant and ready to help in any way that would make the stay more pleasant (cheers Mishko). The house is a little bit older, but the apartment is clean and tidy. The kitchen is shared and with basic things as it is noted in the offer so that is not a complaint. It is a bit more difficult to park if you have a large vehicle, but the host can find you a safe and large parking lot in the immediate vicinity. And the biggest plus at least for us- they are pet friendly."

Painavien matkatavaroiden rahtaus kapeissa portaissa yläkertaan vaivalloista. Suihkussa ei laskutilaa pesuvälineille. Amme ei hyvä suihkualusta. Sisäänkäynnin sähköinen lukko piti meteliä, kun sitä käytti. Pysäköinti pihaan jyrkkää mäkeä pitkin.

The only thing that slightly annoyed me on arrival was that there wasn’t an electrical socket right next to the bed, even though it did say that on the booking site. But that’s a small thing.

"This was our second stay, but in the bigger villa. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. Having everything we needed right there was super convenient. Definitely made the whole trip smoother and more enjoyable. Can't wait to come back again sometime."

"This is an excellent small guesthouse and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and Bahir Dar is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa. The hosts, Ashenafi and Habtamu, showed us around and made us feel very welcome."

This is a new guesthouse and they are still getting all the facitilties that a western tourist would expect, but everything important was there including shower, cooking facilities, chairs and tables in the patio and a barbeque!

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."

Very hard bed and it was cold during my stay - there was heating in the room but not the bathroom.
