Coque Hotel

"A nice sized room. The set up is different because it is within the National Sports Complex. The buffet breakfast was good and in particular I liked the coffee. Usually coffees dispensed out of a machine aren’t great but this was nice and strong. On one of the evenings I also had dinner at the restaurant."

"Google Maps indicated and entrance through the back, which at night was very dark and scary, but it can be entered through the front in front of the tramstop. So this is mostly a Google Maps mistake."

"This place provides a unique mix of advantages: The rooms are comfortable, there is direct access to the National Sports Centre (swimming for free, the excellent sauna for reduced price - both really worth it!) and the free Tram connects from the stop next door to the city and the airport in just a few minutes. Breakfast is offered in the open restaurant inside the sports complex, which is unusual in a very nice way. Staff in both hotel and Coque centre were super friendly."

"For a hotel of this class and price range, I would have expected free parking, fresh bathroom interior and spotless cleanliness. All of it was not quite the case, unfortunately. We would still come back, but perhaps when it's in discount."

"Great location outside the city, close to international organisations and schools. The hotel is part of an Olympic sports center with pools, climbing walls, sports halls, weightlifting facilities, table tennis, and more. Fantastic! The rooms are spacious and offer excellent privacy, with very comfortable, high-quality mattresses. The calm nights ensured a great night’s sleep. There are plenty of sports, wellness and massage options available, and the staff was very friendly."

"My room had an accessible (wheelchair-friendly) bathroom, but unfortunately there were several issues. The armrest next to the toilet was loose and came down unexpectedly because the hinge screws were not tightened properly, which caused me to hurt myself. The shower was also quite uncomfortable, with no shelf or holder for soap, shampoo or other toiletries. In addition, it took a long time for the hot water to come through. Because the sink, mirror and towel bars were positioned very low (wheelchair height), I found them inconvenient as a standing guest. I also bumped into the towel bars several times, as they protruded at a low height and were easy to overlook. The heating in the room did not work efficiently. There was only one radiator and no air conditioning. Opening the window for fresh air was fine, but afterwards the room became very cold and could not be warmed up properly (my stay was at the end of October). Housekeeping could also be more consistent: the tea/coffee supplies (tea bags, instant coffee, stirring sticks and cups) were not replaced after use, the bed was not made every day (without being given a choice), and when I arrived the bathroom bin was still full from the previous guest."
