"Our room was clean, the beds comfortable,l with a lovely balcony, screen on windows so you can have air but no insects. Breakfast was excellent. The communal areas, both indoors and out, were well thought out. You could bask in the sun or sit in a cosy chair to read or sit at tables to play cards with friends. Parking was easy. Short walk to beach or supermarket."

"Nice B&B with a spacious room, good breakfast and the possibilty to use the kitchen to cook or eat. Possiblity to have a breakfast to go, which we appreciated! Welcoming hosts! Close to the centre of Madalena. Depending on the room you could see the sea or the pico mountain! Had a big garden. Very nice!"

"Everything. Good location, nice stuff, cozy environment. This hotel is suitable for a long stay. It is super close to the ocean and it has very comfortable common areas to spend time inside or outside if it is needed. I had even my personal kitty there 🫶 Big bonus - tasty breakfast with a lot of local food."

"We had a great stay in Calma do Mar. Accomodation has a really good location, great for Pico hike, close to big supermarket and Madalena port. Room was spaceus and really clean. Kitchen is really well equiped. Breakfast has a big variety of local products. We even got a pre-packed breakfast for our early morning Pico hike. Host is super nice, communication was really easy, self-check in process was super smooth. Free parking available on site, great common areas for resting after busy day exploring Pico island. There is also one super cute cat for all cat lovers. Our best accomodation on Pico island! :)"

"Everything was just perfect. So clean, so ordinated. You have everything you need, plus the breakfast is amazing; the house too, being customized in every corner, it’s beautiful. One of the best places where I’ve been, you just don’t wanna leave"

"The host is extremely nice and kind, helping me with laundry service, renting bike and hailing taxi etc. As I need to get up early before breakfast time to climb mount pico, she even prepared snacks and sandwich for me. The facility is top with fully equipped kitchen and pleasant common area. The majority of guests are Germans."

"The bunker bed is a bit strange but works for me as a solo traveler. My balcony is facing a sheep pen, and these animals are very cute but can make noise in early morning lol"

"Well tended full of charm nicely located calm with garden terrasse and nice dining room and kitchen, rooms very neat, and Petra and Edna were very accommodating and arranged many things for us."
