"We used to live in Trinidad so know The Kapok quite well. It didn't disappoint - a wonderful breakfast up in the top floor restaurant with great views. The pool area has been improved and is lovely. The rooms are a little dated, but this almost adds to the charm. Towels and toiletries provided and replaced daily. Room very clean. Good sized bed, but a little bit squeaky."

"The bar outside near the pool area was closed - probably as it was quite quiet at the time. Will be a great feature in the summer ..."

"Great location, beautiful views from the window, nice restaurant on the 8th floor, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff."

"Nice hotel with pool , gym, room was nice. Staff all friendly and helpful. Did some laundry myself very reasonable price. Breakfast was satisfactory but good enough."

"Can be a bit loud leading up to carnival with parties but to be expected !"

"Staying at Kapok is always a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are quite spacious for a city hotel. The breakfast is great and the staff were very pleasant."

"The parking attendants could be a little more helpful as the car park is or almost full most of the time."

"We loved the Kapok , very comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly helpful staff and we enjoyed the pool. Loved the location near the centre but quieter, enjoyed eating there and the nearby walk in botanical gardens. Great breakfast too with city views."

"I arrived after 10 pm and was hungry and understandably, the kitchen was closed. I believe that arrangements should be made for clients who are in similar situation as I."
