The Alojamiento Steinbock is located at the edge of Lauterbrunnen opposite the train and cable car station for Grütschalp, Mürren and the Schilthorn. Some of the rooms offer a view of the Jungfrau, Breithorn and Ebnefluh mountains, which are over 4,000 m high. "One of the cheap and yet nice choices in Lauterbrunnen. My room was in an adjacent building. Confortable, with a very retro bathroom, but cozy and what could have been a nice view but there were some repairs ongoing. Right by the train station so very convenient without a car."

"Look it's not terribly modern but that's part of the charm. Staff were friendly and helpful, I appreciated the double room upgrade from the single I booked and appreciated even more being let back into my room the afternoon I'd checked out to be able to change and have a shower after skiing. To be able to get to within 500meters of the hotel on the train from gva is a massive bonus, and it's also a short walk to the lifts. Breakfast I felt was good, plenty of choice and for Switzerland fair value. The world still needs places like this, no pretention."
