As it was late in the season, we were the only guests. Sandra was very helpful and set our breakfast out for us before she had to go out to work. The breakfast was rather unappetising with cheap sliced bread & ham, plentiful, but unappealing.

"The hotel is conviniently located next to the Hashimoto train station. A really convinent stay if you are planning to visit koyasan withoit having to go back to namba station. In addition the town is quiet and calm. The room is spacious and comfortable. Will come back to stay in this room if we are coming back to japan."

"We always enjoy coming back to this hotel. This was already our third stay and definitely not the last. Every time we arrive, we feel a bit like at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is absolutely delicious. You can truly feel the history of this place, which makes the stay even more special. La morena de recepción, muy pesada atiende los clientes como si fueran a pedir posada de gratis, es muy agria, definitivamente no esta acta para atender clientes

No shampoo available and i wasnt aware of same before booking else would have brought mine. Towels stayed wet and had to use same both for shower and pool. Amenities should be provided to allow for wet clothes and towels to dry, like a drying line in the bathroom.

Luggage we have to carry upstairs...unfortunately I carry some suitcase..all Staffs are aged..we can't expect help from them..

The dinner at a (somewhat high) price of 30 Euro per person was good. Good service overall. The owner, Mr. Desprairies, is very professional."

Though we did like the breakfast, we saw that eggs are offered for an extra charge. In most hotels this is standard, so I would recommend to just include them in breakfast. Also, the coffee was so so.

"Awesome host. I couldn’t believe the photos from the previous reviews but it’s true, all the photos you see are truly about a 10 step walk from the bedrooms. Simple, but incredible place to stay. The host will make sure you’re well looked after, help you with the tours/ self guided tours nearby and is very helpful with transport knowledge. We loved this place! I will say, if you’re vegan or veggie it’s hard to find food nearby, so maybe ask the host in advance if you can cook some simple food. They let us cook noodles ❤️❤️"
